5/12/14 from on board Nirvana

So we are getting closer to the tropics- much warmer at night and the water is getting tons warmer.  The wind has lightened a bit and the seas have moderated.  We are getting close to our gybe... sometime soon.  Julie is doing a great job as our personal weather guru.  We did some sizable sail repair yesterday- about six hours of all hands working. Our current position is 23 30.28N 124 59.78W (4pm).  About 700 miles from SD. Cool thing: when it is sunny, the solar panels can keep even with auto pilot and the watermaker!(geeky fact but awesome) There is now a fish around here with a big stomach ache- one cedar plug snarfed.  We saw two flying fish today too!

SV Nirvana out.
